Hello
I am Patricia Perry! It's so nice to meet you! Please take the time to learn a little about me and my amazing life!
My Story

My love for the communications industry started in middle school. Back then I wanted to be involved with radio. I joined Lubbock ISD TV to follow that dream and fell in love with broadcast news. I chased that dream for years! I did amazing in competitions during high school and was ready to pursue my dream. So, I graduated high school a year early and went to Texas Tech University! Wreck 'em! There, I was excelling in journalism classes and in the student-produced newscast. I applied for an internship at KCBD Newschannel 11 and got in! I showed up early every day and always asked for more opportunities. They saw how passionate I was and offered me a job before my internship was supposed to end. I started as a general assignments reporter and quickly found my niche. I became the agricultural and natural resources reporter for the South Plains at KCBD. I even pitched and maintained a new segment they still have today, Focus on Ag. It was such a hit I was awarded the Texas Farm Bureau Excellence in Agricultural Journalism award after being nominated by two counties. In October of 2023, my partner and I found out we were having a baby! We found jobs in the Permian Basin and moved. I started at the City of Odessa as a Communications Specialist and was offered to move to Deputy Director. I have loved all seven years of my communications experience and never plan to leave this industry!
